there are some days you know its time to blog, other days u halt at the create post page and develop writer's block.
so today at this point of time happens to be one of those better days. this is going to be a relatively long entry.. so bear with me.
i just blew $250 shopping this afternoon. i realised i retail better alone then with someone beside me or maybe im really switching back to my independent self. i bought an AX top (jo!! i kena ur virus already..), 2 Zara tops, another skirt and some accessories. retail theraphy.. felt good but somehow i thought some were purchased on impulse. whatever.
"the reason why we are together is because we are in love with each other, and what matters is that we spend quality time together.. not in quantity."
this statement from my buddy struck me. indeed, i haven't thought about this for a long time. i couldnt recall when was the last time i had spend quality time with my boy, yet i know i spend ALOT of my time with him.. just like having my entire week at his place previously. these days, things feel different.. i don't know what is the difference. i feel it.
time away from my boy was well spent. studying, shopping, sleeping and having time alone with my buddies.
the outing with them last saturday was helluva fun. it was held to celebrate shan's birthday as well as to have our last gathering before the boys leave for aussie.
it did start off at a slow note though.. having to wait 4 hours for kenny at some coffeeshop along thomson road. apparently the car they rented had some problems - the spare tyre dropped off!! -_-
original plan was to start off at 7.. in the end it got delayed till almost 11 before dear kenny reached with the hyundai trajet. we took lixian down to dbl o to celebrate jamie's birthday.. and the rest of us proceeded down to party world at shenton way. the last time we sang our lungs out was almost a year ago.. couldnt stop laughing when the people started singing "cartoon heroes" from Aqua. did you actually forget Aqua? remember barbie gals? farking hilarious also when kenny started singing the old hokkien songs. *grin*
and so, from ktv sessions, we realised what our friends can do when they grow old. that yushan and yihui can go sing at jazz pubs, that rus can sing together with them with chinese old numbers.. *laughs* well iris can sing damn well i think.. her unique voice.. FIR can.. haha! =)
anyway, we left at around 4 in the morning, picked up xian at dbl o, then proceeded to this place opposite great world to have supper. it was kinda rushed out coz we reached at 430 and they close at 5. *bah*
someone suggested we go watch the sun rise at east coast.. so while driving down.. i suggested bringing them to go see people making out in their cars. *laughs* you should see how we laughed in the cars when we stopped just right beside cars with couples in there getting the mood right.
by the way, we missed the sun rise. too much clouds that day, covered up mr sun. i guess at 630 in the morning, we were all shacked out. we had to admit that age was catching up with us and that we couldnt "dawn" like how we did last time 3 days in a row. rus was still hungry, so we proceeded to harbourfront for wang jiao's kaya toast before they sent me home.
perfect night. with the perfect people. rus and yihui going to leave in 14 days. sigh. gonna so miss them.
