My baby's name is Aspire 5570. its an Intel Dual COre processor, with 14.1 WXGA CrystalBrite LCD (i dunno what is this), Intel Graphics Media Accelarator 950, 120 GB HDD (yay! more songs!), DVD Super multi double layer, 1GB DDR2, wireless LAN and bluetooth.
i bought it less than $1500 (i cannot reveal how much) and i got a free 100GB external HDD! wa lau! is that cheap or what!!
-i can see you gasping-
haha!
so thats to share my joy, i have not taken any photos yet.. but will do that soon ok. heh..
finally, i'll wrap up this entry with the very important decision.
Very often, we hear people talking bout making important decisions at different life junctures. i was at one. i couldnt figure out if it was going to be a right or wrong decision, i guess at the end of the day, there is really no right or wrong. Its just how much you make out of every decision.
I got head-hunted to do M&A. Something that was my interest when i was doing my diploma and degree. The only risk im running is that i might be the next rubber stamp. it was good money.
i would say this had been a very difficult decision, but one i had to make. ask me and i'll tell you im extremely comfortable with where i am and with the colleagues around me, not to mention Gary - my boss.
i mean im having a comfortable pay check, with a comfortable position. BiG has definitely been a good place to kick start my career, ive learnt alot. it was a good 10 months.
i'll miss 8th floor gatherings
i'll miss getting hassled for cheques everyday (maybe.. ha)
i'll miss doing my journal vouchers
i'll miss arguing with the AR gal
i'll miss stock take (ok, i wont)
i'll definitely miss gary. he is really one helluva boss.
so, this brings us back to the topic of making decisions. in summary, sometimes we dont like the decision we make, but its for the better. many times, we stand at the cross road, and ask which is the right way to go. years down the road, i'll probably have to make more of such decisions. opportunity only knocks once.the choice of either wanting to be in your comfort zone, or to venture into elsewhere that gives you more job prospects is entirely up to you
i chose the latter.
bye bye BiG.
