i went back to office after 2 weeks of good rest courtesy of the poxes. heavily greeted with "eh! ni hui lai le!!", but mostly just happy that im back so their workload has lighten. haha!
i decided i had a love hate relationship with the pox. well, love it coz i had my rest and had "me" time. hate it coz i wasnt exactly a homely person and had to be confined to 4 walls together with porridge and chai xim.
so since i was going back to reality (read: work), i'd better enjoy myself thoroughly before the horrid year end starts.. and i did.

i was appreciative that the folks took half day leave for me to have high tea together. we have been wanting to do this kinda gatherings - tai tai style, for the longest time and finally we did. good food! $33+++ if i remembered correctly. most importantly good company. and as usual, when we have 3 or more of us gathered, we gossip bout every living thing that strides past us. i was happy to see rus and kelly arriving, hands interlocked. i always think that this couple in particular will go far. alot of compromise and alot of communication. :)
missed iris' and jia's presence though. iris couldnt take leave as it wasnt the school hols and jia's leave got rejected. boo.
so after the high tea, the 2 love birds went to watch movie, while the 3 of us went to do a little shopping at raffles city. the heels were hurting my feet already, shan can really shop!! dinner at mos - 14 piece nuggets shared by 3 of us. the mustard sauce is so good!!
jia came shortly and so did the boy... and then we proceeded to...

ben got us tables at wine bar and at zouk! i swear the entire gang was trying to make me drunk. i opened a bottle of martell that finished in half an hour. i had to escape outside to pick caron up (thank god she came in time!!). speaking of which caron bought me this really cute set of MJ - travel size. im thinking i should bring in to our diving trip in june!! thanks BFF!!
and so we did the usual cake cutting, drinking, taking pictures which im really lazy to upload here (go check it out on facebook!).
we went into zouk a while later, and i was happy to see winnie and jimmy there too. :) more shots, more chivas, one horrible SUPER LAMBOURGHINI (from ben and benson i think), more photo whoring, more hugs from the boy. we left zouk 330am for prata. hahaha.
i was happy, to be just high. the high i wanted, not dead drunk and not remembering whats happening. i kept reminding the people that 4 years ago, i celebrated my birthday at double o, went in at 1000pm, got carried out by the boy at 1130pm. it was alot and alot and alot of lambourghini! and i didnt want that coz it was suppose to be enjoyable, not get drunk and have a hangover on my birthday itself! and for that, i thank ben for being the drink moderator and of coz for getting the tables and bringing the people in. :)

we were suppose to wake up early to go sun tan at sentosa, but we didnt make it. so we went ahead with movie plans to watch confessions of the shopaholic. after that we headed down to shangrila since they had a very good promotion for the buffet dinner - they give you a discount off your age, so i had 26% off the total bill :) met rus and kelly there again coz kelly's mom share the same birthday as me!

play mahjong la!! the boy had to go qing ming with his family (dont ask me why they go to the cemetry at 10pm), so i decided to do dry swimming. lost 40 bucks! birthday no luck.
yup! so that pretty much sums up the birthday celebrations. im 26. and i still have alot of thought provoking stuffs going on up there in the greyish department. need to sort those out soon, maybe with more good coffee and an ideal location, all by myself :)
for now, its year end reporting. the craziest period of the year. i have deadlines everyday of the week until 22nd April. but luckily i have stuffs to look forward to, to keep me sane
