bye bye SSB
i still strongly believe that everything happens for a reason.
this M/E for some reason, was beyond horrid. it was back to working till 2am, and 10pm. the only difference is that 1 year ago, when u worked til 2am, there are about 7-8 people in the office, slogging together with you. Now, hardly. Prolly only me and J.
i got superbly pissed last week because i worked till 2am on monday, 10pm on tuesday. Tuesday night i asked my boss if i could take half day off the next morning. Initially she said ok, then my colleague make noise. said that he had to cover my funds.. THEN! boss say "ya ya.. think u dont go la.."
who sees my hard work? nobody.
coincidentally, i went back home on wednesday night and was complaining to a fellow colleague online.. i decided to go www.google.com (my best friend now). i click through a couple of links and found this particular job that sounded pretty interesting.. HONESTLY, i wasnt looking for a job. i was just trying. so.. i went on to update my resume.. and sent it in.
they called me thurs morning and ask for an interview on monday. woa la! not bad i thought. efficient from a good point of view, desperate from a bad point of view. so i thought, no harm! go try it out and get the butterflies in the stomach feeling again.
saturday morning, i woke up.. i went to kwan yin temple. asked for some advise, if i should leave or stay on at ssb.
the lot was classic.. i couldnt help smiling to myself..
"the prisoner is free. you have reached the golden gates"
so! i went for first interview on monday (the interviewer was btw, drop dead gorgeous). that part went well for me.. i was a natural speaker i guess, like what most of my friends say, i warm up to people easily. if i want to.
interview was at 3pm, skipped lunch for that.. and 5pm the cute man called and invited me for a second interview, this time with my immediate bosses.. which took place today.. at 1pm
430pm, the cute man, called me up again and offered me the position. it was a 1k pay increment, 21 days of leave, and they pay for my CFA. im moving from ops to middle office. there is no reason for me to say no.
so tomorrow im going to sign the appointment letter and come back with the resignation letter.
so ya..
